The program focuses on AI-driven initiatives that strengthen education; define career pathways; build more resilient workforce systems; support communities facing environmental and economic stress; sustainable agriculture; clean energy; water management; resilient cities; supply chains; and leverages IBM offerings including IBM Consulting, IBM watsonx, IBM Cloud, IBM Research, IBM SkillsBuild, and IBM Software. The IBM Impact Accelerator is a social innovation program that provides nonprofit organizations, government entities, and academic institutions with technology, expertise, and collaborative support to develop AI-driven solutions for educational and workforce development challenges. Since its inception, the program has supported 25 global projects across five active cohorts, addressing critical environmental, economic, and workforce challenges. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, government entities, and academic institutions around the globe that seek to implement AI-powered initiatives to improve education and workforce development. By combining advanced technologies with expert guidance, the program empowers organizations to create meaningful impact in communities and strengthen systems for learning and employment.
